Main Street (U.S. 33) running north and south through town is lined with homes from as early as the 1900's and later. Each house is completely individual from the next and each one has a history that links back to Churubusco during simpler times.

On the north edge of town there are two apartment complexes and each one offers a unique set of opportunities for its residents. First there is Monarch Manor offering 1 bedroom single story apartments set in a cul de sac. The majority of the residents here are local retirees looking for small and low maintenance living. Just north of Monarch Manor is Vandallia Apartments, which are two story structures offering 1 and 2 bedroom residences, a laundry facility and is adjacent to the community park. Finally, there is the newest housing addition to call Churubusco home and that is the Threshers Ridge addition. Following the trend of other housing additions, this one has curving streets and many end in a cul de sac.

Within town, there are numerous housing additions dotting the landscape. Houses that are less than 30 years old can be found in many of these neighborhoods. All of which are close enough to the Smith-Green Community Schools for your children to walk safely to school each day.

The Blue Lake community also offers numerous housing opportunities for the avid fisherman or lake cottage enthusiast. Prices range anywhere from $50,000 to $200,000 with some being lake front and others near the public access point.
