location

Churubusco is nestled in a small little corner of Northeast Whitley County in Indiana and is borderd by Noble County to the north and Allen County to the south.

The two main roads that run through Churubusco are State Road 205 and U.S. Highway 33. State Road 205 to the west can connect with you the county seat of Columbia City and U.S. Highway 30. To the east you can connect to I-69 at the 111mi marker in Dekalb County.

Connecting the rest of the town is U.S. Highway 33, which is believed to be the only two-lane highway left in the state that connects two major cities. Those being South Bend in northwest Indiana and Ft. Wayne, which is approximately 20 minutes from Churubusco.

According to INDOT, in 2002, 13,360 vehicles travel into and through Churubusco via U.S. 33 and anywhere from 3,000 to 5,000 people travel S.R. 205 daily.

Despite what seems to be smaller avenues of travel, Whitley County and even Churubusco share some major connections allowing labor forces to travel into the county.
